Why doesn't the Reddit video downloader work anymore?

Reddit blocks requests from servers and from other websites, and since November 2025 it only grants API access after a manual review. Without that access no outside tool can reliably read a Reddit post, so we retired this downloader instead of showing errors.

Will the Reddit video downloader come back?

Only if Reddit opens access to tools like this again. If that happens, we will bring it back on this page.

Do the other video downloaders still work?

Yes. The Twitter/X and TikTok video downloaders are not affected and keep working as before.

How can I keep a Reddit video I like?

Use the Save button on the Reddit post. It keeps the post in your Reddit account for as long as the post stays online.

Reddit Video Downloader Discontinued

This tool no longer works, so we took it offline.

Reddit now blocks outside tools from reading its posts. Requests from servers are refused, other websites cannot load Reddit data in your browser, and since November 2025 Reddit only grants API access after a manual review. Rather than show you an error every time, we retired the Reddit downloader.

Our other video downloaders are not affected and still work:
